General Introduction

  • The Secretary-General is the highest authority of the Institute’s administrative organization and is responsible to the Rector for the work, supervision and control of this organization.
  • In addition to his/her duties pertaining to the administrative organization, the Secretary-General also fulfills the following duties through himself/herself, his/her departments and affiliated units:
    • To act as a rapporteur in the Institute Senate and the Institute Administrative Board without participating in the voting, to ensure that the decisions taken in these boards are written, protected and stored. To forward the decisions of the Institute Senate and the Institute Executive Board to the units affiliated to the Institute.
    • To ensure that the units in the Administrative Organization of the Institute work in an orderly, efficient and coordinated manner,
    • To make a proposal to the Rector about the assignments to be made in the administrative structure of the Institute,
    • To perform the duties assigned by the Board of Directors, the Senate and the Rector within the framework of laws, statutes and regulations and/or to have them performed through its affiliated units,
    • To ensure the execution of internal and external correspondence of the Rectorate and Office of the General Secretariat,
    • To ensure that incoming and outgoing documents are followed, protected and stored,
    • To carry out the annual budget studies of the Institute and to coordinate the related Departments.
